How long does whiplash take to heal?
Many patients improve substantially in six to twelve weeks with active care. Delayed treatment and pure rest are the most common reasons recovery drags on.
My X-rays were normal — why do I still hurt?
X-rays show bone. Whiplash primarily injures ligaments, joint capsules and muscle, which is why a normal X-ray does not mean an absence of injury.
