Your first visit
What to Expect
Your first appointment is an evaluation, not a sales pitch. We take a full history, examine you properly, and explain in plain language what we found and what we think is driving your symptoms.
If treatment is appropriate, most patients start the same day — typically some combination of chiropractic care, physical therapy and soft tissue work, with medical services added if your exam calls for it. Before you leave you will have a written plan with a realistic timeline and a scheduled point at which we re-evaluate.
A Note on Insurance
Our team verifies your benefits before your visit so you know what to expect financially. We work with most major plans and handle auto accident and workers' compensation claims regularly. See our accepted insurance page for details, or call us and we will check for you.
What to Bring
- Photo ID
- Insurance card (and auto claim number if applicable)
- A list of current medications
- Any imaging reports or records related to your injury
- Attorney or adjuster contact information, if you have one
- Comfortable clothing you can move in
Before You Arrive
- Arrive 10 minutes early for paperwork
- Eat normally — no fasting required
- Bring a list of your questions
- Let us know about recent surgeries or serious medical conditions

How long is my first appointment?
Plan on 45 to 60 minutes. That covers paperwork, a full examination and, in most cases, treatment on the same visit.
Do I need a referral?
Usually not. Colorado allows direct access to chiropractic care and physical therapy. If your specific plan requires a referral, we will tell you before you come in.
Will I be treated on the first visit?
In most cases yes, provided the examination does not turn up something that needs imaging or medical clearance first.
